GI Labs capture device docs
Welcome to the documentation for GI Labs ego-centric capture devices — wearable hardware for recording first-person ("egocentric") video and motion data for robot-learning and perception datasets.
These guides are written for the people who actually use the devices: operators in the field and engineers integrating the data. No GI Labs account is required to read them.
Devices
| Device | What it is | Status |
|---|---|---|
| EGO1 | Head-mounted stereo capture device — dual 1080p cameras + 9-DoF IMU, records to MicroSD. | ✅ Available |
| More devices | Additional ego-centric capture hardware. | 🔜 Coming soon |
EGO1 is the first released device. This site is built to grow: each new device gets its own section, so the guide you're reading today won't be reorganized out from under you when the lineup expands.
How the EGO1 docs are organized
- Operator guide — capture, review, and retrieve data using only an Android phone and a computer. No command line.
- Engineering integration — work with the data streams directly in
Python via the
visio-schemapackage.
